What is REACH MATHIS?
Since 2017 The Grove has felt a stirring from the Lord to start a new church or partner with an existing church for the purpose of reaching the community of Mathis with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. As recent as this year, that stirring has been happening often enough for us to pause and truly evaluate what reaching the community of Mathis could look like. In addition, God has opened doors for ministry opportunities in the community that we are actively participating in.
The word “reach” has long been a part of The Grove’s mission and vision. It’s a word that is rooted in Gospel ministry. God sent his son Jesus Christ to “reach” sinful humanity. Through faith in Jesus Christ, sinful humanity can “reach” back to God. This is the Gospel message. We are actively praying and seeking the Lord’s direction as to what our next step forward will be.
