ABOUT THE GROVE
Officially known as First Baptist Church of Orange Grove, The Grove was planted in 1944 by First Baptist Church of Alice, TX. Throughout the decades of its existence, The Grove has ministered to and reached countless families with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and is an established hallmark in the community of Orange Grove.
Many families are experiencing salvation along with God's grace and mercy. Ministries have outgrown the current building and are in need of adequate space to minister effectively. We are currently in the middle of a building campaign to add additional space to our church. Life change is happening and God continues to be faithful!
WHAT WE VALUE AND WHAT WE DESIRE:
At The Grove, we believe the Gospel is paramount, church is family, and the great commission is a command for all Christians. Because of this, we strive to build, expand and cultivate an environment where we can gather together to worship God, grow together in God’s word, go out and make disciples and give of our time, talents & treasures.
By placing a hight priority in these values we hope to be in a better position where we can focus on biblical literacy, family discipleship, evangelism & missions.
HOW DO I JOIN THE GROVE?
When you join us as a member of The Grove you are committing to a spiritual family that will provide support and encouragement. You can become a member if you have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord & Savior and are baptized by immersion into our fellowship. You may also request to join our fellowship by statement if you have already professed faith in Christ and have been baptized or by letter of transfer if you are coming from another church of like faith.
WHAT IS OUR VISION FOR THE GROVE?
Throughout our church’s history we have seen how God has moved and worked in and through our church. We have seen how He changes lives, restores families and blesses our community.
As we move into the future, we believe God continues to call us to REACH THE GROVE and make disciples. As we commit to this calling we are inviting everyone who calls The Grove their home to join us.
