What is Victory Weekend?

Victory Weekend is an annual weekend designed, specifically, for 6th-12th grade students hosted at The Grove located in Orange Grove, TX. At Victory Weekend students will participate in several in-depth Bible studies and small group discussions learning what it means to be a genuine follower of Christ. Through worship, speaking and fellowship our goal is to empower students to live a life of victory, one that honors Christ, and brings glory to his name.

Who can attend Victory Weekend?

Victory Weekend is designed specifically for students in 6th-12th grade. Adults attending the weekend must pass a background check and be registered as a volunteer. If you are an adult attending with a different church, be sure to check with them on their registration and background check process.

How do I register?

Registration will open in 2019. Stay tuned and check back with us often.

Why the name "Victory Weekend"?

1 Corinthians 15:57 says, "But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." We believe Christ gives us the tools necessary to walk in victory. The goal of Victory Weekend is to encourage students to take hold of their victory in Christ.

Where will my teen stay and what are the sleeping arrangements?

Students will be separated by grade and gender into groups of 6-8 and will stay in the host homes of their participating church. Each group will have a group leader who will stay with the students the entire weekend. Each group leader and host home will undergo a background check and child-protection training certification. Students do not need to stay in a host home in order to participate.

What will the small group be like?

Small Groups will be split up according to each participating church. Students will be split up by grade level and gender and be led throughout the weekend by a Group Leader. Each participating church is responsible for providing their own small group leaders. The purpose of the Small Groups are for discipleship and fellowship. Each group will dive deeper into the messages from the Main Sessions and the overall theme of Victory Weekend.

What should my teen bring?

Each student should bring all the necessary items for 2 overnight stays at the host home (sleeping bag, bedding, hygiene products, etc.) Students should bring enough clothes for the weekend. Loose fitting clothes and shoes for an afternoon of recreation will be appropriate as well as clothes for evening worship and sleeping. All teens are expected to behave in the appropriate manner. Anyone whose behavior is deemed inappropriate and/or disrespectful will be asked to leave and go home.

What is the Q&A session?

Throughout the weekend students will have an opportunity to text in any question they have about Christianity, the Bible, etc. Our panel of leaders will take time to answer each question during this session.

Is there a cost involved?

The to attend cost is $45.00 per person.
