During the three and a half years of Jesus’ public ministry he performed countless miracles. Every miraculous act had one purpose - to authenticate, demonstrate and reveal to the nation of Israel that he was, in fact, the Messiah, the Promised One and the Savior of the world. John 21:25 says this: “Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them was written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written.” Below is a reading plan that will walk you through each of the miracles recorded in God’s holy word.

Advent is an opportunity to pause and reflect on the birth of Jesus. It is best described as “a season of waiting, expecting and hoping.” It is a time where we celebrate the arrival and coming of Jesus during the Christmas season. It begins on the fourth Sunday before Christmas, commonly known as Advent Sunday, and concludes on Christmas Eve/Day. Think of Advent as a long introduction to Christmas. A prologue to the culmination of God’s divine plan to send his son to earth as our refuge, hope and savior.

This Advent guide contains selected bible readings that are separated into four weekly sections. Each section includes an introductory devotional that will help lay a framework and set the tone for the selected bible readings. Each day concludes with two simple questions that are meant to help you understand and comprehend the text. The questions are asked in such a way that anyone can answer them. Our hope is that this guide would become an avenue by which a deep passion for God’s word is birthed and a strong desire for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ is awakened. Above all, we pray that you will spend time wisely with the Lord and with your family.
